Why Infrared Sauna

Documented Benefits

Unlike traditional saunas, far infrared heat penetrates deep into muscle tissue — delivering therapeutic benefits at a cellular level that feel gentle, not overwhelming.

Deep Detoxification
Infrared heat promotes sweating at a cellular level, eliminating heavy metals, toxins and metabolic waste more effectively than conventional heat.
Circulation & Recovery
Dilates blood vessels and improves blood flow — ideal for muscle recovery, reducing inflammation and supporting cardiovascular health.
Weight Management
A single 65-minute session can burn a significant number of calories as your body works to cool itself — supporting your weight management goals.
Skin Rejuvenation
Increases collagen production and improves skin tone, texture and elasticity — visible results when combined with regular sessions.
Stress & Sleep
Activates the parasympathetic nervous system — reducing cortisol, easing anxiety and improving sleep quality. A profound, full-body reset.
Pain Relief
Penetrating heat soothes muscle and joint pain, making it beneficial for fibromyalgia, arthritis and chronic muscle tension.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between far infrared and a traditional sauna?
Traditional saunas heat the air around you to very high temperatures (80–100°C), which can feel uncomfortable and is unsuitable for many people. Far infrared saunas use radiant heat to warm your body directly at a much lower air temperature (around 45–60°C). The infrared wavelengths penetrate deeper into muscle tissue, making the detox and therapeutic benefits more profound — while the experience feels far gentler and more sustainable.
How often should I use the infrared sauna?
For general wellbeing, once or twice a week is excellent. For targeted goals such as weight management, detox or skin improvement, Alexandra may recommend a 4-session Infrared Protocol course taken over 4 weeks. Each session builds on the last, creating cumulative results that a single session cannot achieve alone.
Is infrared sauna suitable for everyone?
Most healthy adults can benefit from far infrared sauna sessions. However, it is contraindicated for certain conditions including pregnancy, active skin infections and some cardiovascular conditions. Your initial consultation will include a full medical assessment to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you. If you have any concerns, please mention them at the time of booking.
