Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the DRW (Desert Rose Wellness) massage technique?
The DRW technique is Alexandra's signature approach — a deeply intuitive blend of Swedish, lymphatic drainage and therapeutic massage applied in response to your body's specific needs on any given day. No two sessions are identical. The focus is on genuine restoration — releasing held tension, improving circulation and leaving you feeling profoundly reset rather than merely relaxed.
Is pregnancy massage safe, and when can I start?
Pregnancy massage is generally safe from the second trimester onwards (14+ weeks) and is adapted for comfort and safety throughout. Alexandra uses specialist positioning and avoids certain pressure points. If you have a high-risk pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, bleeding or other complications, please consult your midwife or GP first and mention this at booking. A short health check is always completed before your session.
What is Thai foot reflexology and how is it different from a standard foot massage?
Thai foot reflexology works with specific reflex points on the feet and lower legs that correspond to organs and systems throughout the body. By applying precise pressure to these points, it supports the body's natural healing processes — addressing digestive, hormonal and nervous system imbalances — in addition to providing physical relaxation. It is significantly more therapeutic than a standard foot massage and leaves most clients feeling balanced for several days after.
