These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all bookings, services and products provided by Desert Rose Wellness. By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on this page.

2. Making a Booking

Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of the required booking fee (deposit) payment. You will receive a confirmation email or message from our booking system (Cal.com).

Please ensure all information provided at the time of booking is accurate. It is your responsibility to inform us of any relevant medical conditions, allergies or medications before your appointment.

All services are provided by appointment only. We do not accept walk-ins without prior arrangement.

Desert Rose Wellness cannot guarantee the same practitioner for each appointment in exceptional circumstances, but all practitioners are trained and approved to our protocols. Alexandra Marques is the primary and usual practitioner.

For clients under 18 years of age, parental or guardian consent is required in writing before any treatment is carried out. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult during treatments.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

4.1 Cancellation or Rescheduling with 48+ Hours' Notice

If you notify us of a cancellation or rescheduling request at least 48 hours before your appointment:

• You may reschedule your appointment to another available date at no additional charge.
• Your booking fee (deposit) will be transferred to the new appointment date.
• Cancellations (without rescheduling) will result in the booking fee being forfeited; any remaining balance paid beyond the booking fee will be refunded.

4.2 Cancellation or Rescheduling with Less Than 48 Hours' Notice

If you cancel or attempt to reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of the appointment time:

• The booking fee (deposit) is forfeited and non-refundable.
• For Talking Support sessions (full payment at booking), the full amount is forfeited.
• Rescheduling is not permitted with less than 48 hours' notice — a new booking with a new deposit will be required.
• No credit will be carried forward to a future appointment.

4.3 No-Shows

Failure to attend your appointment without any prior notice constitutes a no-show:

• The booking fee is forfeited and non-refundable.
• For full-payment sessions, the full amount is forfeited.
• Rescheduling will not be offered for no-shows. A new booking with a new deposit will be required.

4.4 Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a reduced treatment time, with the session still charged at the full rate. We reserve the right to cancel the appointment if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, in which case the booking fee will be forfeited.

4.5 Cancellations by Desert Rose Wellness

In the rare event that we need to cancel your appointment, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative date. If no suitable date can be found, a full refund of any amount paid will be issued.

5. Treatment Courses and Packages

Treatment courses (multi-session packages) must be paid in full prior to the first session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All sessions within a course must be used within 6 months of the date of purchase. Sessions not used within this period may be forfeited.

Courses are personal to the purchaser and are non-transferable to another individual.

Once a course has commenced, it cannot be exchanged for a different treatment type or package.

The 48-hour cancellation policy applies to individual sessions within a course. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed without notice, will be counted as used.

6. Refund Policy

We aim to deliver outstanding results with every treatment. However, please note the following:

• Booking fees (deposits) are non-refundable except where Desert Rose Wellness cancels the appointment.
• Refunds for pre-paid individual sessions are offered within 7 days of purchase if no treatments have taken place.
• No refunds are offered for treatment courses that have commenced.
• If you experience an adverse reaction to a treatment, please contact us immediately. We will assess the situation and respond appropriately in line with your statutory rights.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

7. Your Health and Medical Information

It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies and contraindications before receiving any treatment. You must complete our client intake form honestly and in full prior to your first appointment.

Desert Rose Wellness will not be liable for any adverse reaction or negative outcome resulting from your failure to disclose accurate medical information.

We reserve the right to decline or adapt a treatment if, in our professional judgement, it may pose a risk to your health or wellbeing.

9. Initial Consultation

Before your Initial Consultation — online or in person — you will receive a consultation form via email that must be completed before the appointment so the therapist can access your health history. Failure to complete this form allows us to cancel the appointment and the booking fee will be forfeited.

An Initial Consultation is required before commencing any treatment programme.

Online Consultation

• A 30-minute session with Alexandra
• Medical history and skin/body assessment
• A personalised treatment plan

In-Person Consultation

• A 60-minute session with Alexandra
• Medical history and skin/body assessment
• A personalised treatment plan
• One Far Infrared Sauna session (65 min — £75 value)

10. Gift Cards

Gift cards are available for any treatment or package. The following conditions apply:

• Gift cards are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
• Gift cards may be used as full or part payment towards services.
• Gift cards cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
• Gift cards are non-transferable and will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
• Gift cards cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers unless expressly stated.

11. Our Liability

Desert Rose Wellness is responsible for providing treatments with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for:

• Adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed medical conditions or incorrect information provided at intake
• Loss or damage to personal belongings brought to appointments
• Any loss that is not a foreseeable result of our actions

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

We comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill, you may ask us to redo it or receive a reduction in price.

We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 3 business days and resolve them within 14 days.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data, including health information collected through our intake form, is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please read our full Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use and protect your information.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
